This is your opportunity to kick off the convention with a Cinco de Mayo themed celebration with great food, beverage and conversation. This year's social will feature a Bags Tournament and Silent Auction Fundraiser for the Des Moines Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Jeremy Yohe is vice president of communications for the American Land Title Association (ALTA). In his role, Yohe is responsible for the overall communications strategy for ALTA. His primary duties are writing and coordinating content for ALTA’s publications, including the monthly and digital magazine, TitleNews, electronic newsletter, TitleNews Online, Title Law Quarterly, and ALTA’s newest e-newsletter, Digital Fix, which focused on technology and innovation in the industry. He also coordinates the association’s monthly education webinars, and oversees the association’s consumer education website, Home Closing 101. Prior to joining ALTA in 2009, Yohe was editor of The Title Report, a national trade publication covering the title insurance industry.
CYBER THREATS - SPECIAL AGENT JASON SOO, FBI CYBER TASK FORCE
From business email compromises to cyber terrorism, this presentation will touch on several current cyber threats. We will discuss how various attacks work, how to protect yourself, and perspectives from the FBI. Presenter Jason Soo is a Special Agent with the FBI assigned to the Cyber Task Force in Des Moines, Iowa. Prior to joining the FBI, he was a government contractor for six years, and supported the FBI for three of those years. During that time, he supported several types of cyber criminal and cyber national security cases. Soo graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgetown University in 2016.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND DISASTER PREPAREDNESS:
This session will be a refresher of the successful Business Continuity and Disaster Preparedness presentation that was provided at the ILTA Regional Meetings last fall. Presenters Steve Skram, JD, ILTA CLTP and Dan McCann, ILTA CLTP will provide the refresher and include new information to help you prepare your business.

Join Moderator Zach Ruroden, ILTA CLTP, NTP for a panel discussion on topics of interest to the title industry and your business. This will be an interactive conversation and Q&A.
MONDAY BANQUET ENTERTAINMENT:
Audiences have been laughing at 88improv's family friendly improv comedy since 2003. Based in Omaha, NE, they have traveled the region performing both short form and long form improv. In 2012 they launched their 88improv Academy, teaching improv to area high school students. You will currently see them in their regular monthly show at The Backline Comedy Theater in Omaha.
